Okay, I'll fess up. I'm glad that little babysitting job is over. I'll also admit that I'm NOT one who can do full-time child care. Some people's kids just have too many issues, and I don't relish just having to "deal with it" as tempers fly, boys throw themselves on the floor screaming in anger, and a five-year-old shocks me with some of the things that come out of his mouth.
I think Kelsey's pretty tired too. It may just be my imagination, but I think she now has a really good idea that taking care of a baby isn't "doing nothing". Mackenzie wouldn't let Kelsey put her down, she didn't want to nap, and when she finally DID sleep, Kelsey just wanted to chill out. Me? Hmm...while taking care of my four littles plus two boys, I made lunch for everyone (including Pete), did dishes, washed and folded laundry, folded and put away diapers, redirected a LOT of fights and "MINE!!!!!!" disputes between the two-year-olds, cleaned the kitchen, roasted and pureed two and a half pumpkins, and cleaned up the toy hurricane that had overtaken the house. Ya know, all that typical Mom-stuff. Kelsey is now sleeping in. I was up at 6am on a Saturday to make a sausage, egg, and biscuit breakfast for three littles, a hubby, and a soldier-boy son who is on pass for the weekend (and who settled on cold cereal, the ungrateful bugger)! Where's the "S" to paste to my drool-soaked tee shirt, huh?
Yep, I have my hands full with my brood, but they are MINE. And I don't think I'm going to be taking on any babysitting jobs anytime soon. Today, we're going to sit around and just "be". I'm enjoying the silence of having my own six kids in our house. Goodness, our family doesn't seem so big today! Maybe I'll just sit here and stare out my window at the gorgeous trees....wanna join me?

oh my goodness! that sounds like you really had something going on at your house...!
I had a lot of babysitter jobs in my life, too, and I know how it is when kids "have issues"... I always thought, good that they're not mine ;-)
I like your new template! :-) Did you do it yourself?
Have a blessed Sunday after your lazy Saturday!
