Siamese chickens?

This must rate right up there with one of my oddest topics to blog about...

I've found several eggs that contained double yolks, but never one that the twins shared a yolk sac! I'm not sure whether this intrigued me or just plain grossed me out. Didn't affect the taste of my fried chicken, tho!

I think I have blogged about double egg yolks before, too, lol. I think we found like 3 eggs with double yolks in a ROW.

My grandfather Adriel Bidwell, in the 1960's (?) was written up in Time Life Magazine as the first to discover that a double yolk could become fertilited and hatch twins! I am sure that was big for its day? I remember doing a report on him for elementary school and bringing the BIG magazine in to show my class and teacher.
