Simple Woman's Daybook 11/3/08

FOR TODAY November 3...

Outside My Window... I'm pausing every few minutes to admire God's handiwork in full Autumn splendor--it's just AMAZING, especially with all that color against the bright blue sky! It's going to be warm again today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Hmm...Indian Summer?

I am thinking... that I really need to give my son another laundry lesson. After three years of doing laundry every other week, you'd think he would know not to stop the washer early and force the dryer to try to quick-dry drippy uniforms. The spin cycle is necessary, soldier boy!
I am thankful for... a safe, secure neighborhood where I'm not worried about strung-out fools breaking in to steal prescription drugs. CALL ME SOON, JILL!

From the kitchen... I'm not making anything spectacular today, just trying out recipes for chicken cacciatore since I've never even had it...much less MADE it.

I am wearing... knee-length Eeyore yoga pants and a white tee. Typical laundry-day attire!

I am creating... yet more Christmas presents. Shhhhhhh.....

I am going... to get all of this laundry washed, folded, and put away TODAY. Self, that's an order!

I am reading... Philippians. I need a refresher.

I am hoping... that Pete's appointment next week with the sports medicine doc goes well and he can finally get some permanent relief from the pain he's had for five years.

I am hearing... giggling. Music to my ears!

Around the house... it looks like a Monday. Diaper bags, church bags, weekend projects, a bunch of stuff in need of being put away...and of course, I'm the only one willing to do it!

One of my favorite things... great thrift shop finds! Last week it was a $75 booster seat for $10, a bunch of like-new Carters baby things, and two Ziplock baggies full of patterned scrapbook papers, for $1 each!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: We have a WIC appointment Wednesday, but that's the only scheduled thing. I think I may get all of those Christmas presents I bought over the weekend wrapped, though, so I'm not scrambling the day before we leave for Florida!

Here is picture thought I am sharing... the three musketeers

Thank you, Peggy, for hosting the Simple Woman's Daybook! It's such a blessing to my week!
